Largest refinery maintenance project in Spain
Elecnor has been commissioned to provide end-to-end maintenance services for the electrical and instrumentation systems at Repsol's Petrochemical Complex in Puertollano.
The Puertollano refinery is an oil refinery located in the city of Puertollano, in the province of Ciudad Real, Spain. It covers a 320-hectare site and is connected via a pipeline system to the Mediterranean and Atlantic coasts.
The Puertollano industrial plant is the only one of Repsol's three chemical installations on the Iberian peninsula (Puertollano, Tarragona and Sines, Portugal) to manufacture EVA copolymers, which are widely used for the production of film, adhesives and pharmaceutical applications, particularly for blood and serum bags, catheters and patches.
This is the largest refinery maintenance contract awarded to Elecnor in Spain, involving 30 members of personnel and its structure.
