Adecco Foundation and Elecnor sign partnership agreement to boost employment of vulnerable people in Spain

The initiative is aimed at people with disabilities, single-parent families, people with limited financial means and other groups that are particularly vulnerable to crises such as that caused by Covid-19

Elecnor has announced the signing of an agreement with the Adecco Foundation to help people at risk of social exclusion find a foothold in the job market. The company has sought to boost its social commitment to people during these challenging times caused by the health and social crisis. Elecnor has therefore joined the #EmpleoParaTodos programme of the Adecco Foundation: an organisation that has been working for more than 20 years to promote the employability of especially vulnerable groups of people. The agreement was signed by Elecnor's CEO, Rafael Martín de Bustamante, and Francisco Mesonero, General Manager of the Adecco Foundation.

The aim of this initiative is to help socially vulnerable people find a job that allows them to rebuild their lives and avoid social exclusion. People with disabilities, single-parent families and/or people with limited financial means are therefore some of the groups targeted by this programme. These are also groups who more acutely feel the effects of crises such as that caused by the pandemic, so this initiative may be crucial for preventing extreme situations of vulnerability caused by crises that lead to an increase in poverty.

The #EmpleoParaTodos project focuses on two key groups: job seekers and employers. On the one hand, it has a team of career consultants who guide, train and assist people at risk of exclusion so they can find a job as quickly as possible; on the other, there is a team that understands the needs of employers. This team is committed to promoting sensitive workplace climates through Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategies that have a cross-cutting impact on the business.

Elecnor's CEO, Rafael Martín de Bustamante, emphasised that: “During these hugely difficult months we have sought to strengthen, more than ever, our commitment to the most vulnerable people in society to help reduce the levels of poverty and exclusion in our society. This agreement will enable us to help people at risk of exclusion through the self-sufficiency, personal fulfilment and stability that only employment provides”.

This partnership sees Elecnor continuing to contribute to building a new model for society and business, which must have diverse and inclusive teams of people with different skills, perspectives and experiences. It is precisely in this human diversity where companies will find the innovation and competitiveness necessary to face a changing future.
