Due to take 10 months, the construction of the wind farm is one of a series of projects undertaken on the island by Consorcio del Agua de Lanzarote. It is being co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and is carried out in collaboration with IDAE (Instituto para la Diversificación y Ahorro de la Energía — the Spanish Institute for the Diversification and Saving of Energy). The aim of these projects is to promote a cleaner and more sustainable economy on the island.
